According to the Royal Spanish Academy Dictionary, the word “fear” means the following:
“A distressful emotion which arises when one is confronted with threatening danger or evil, whether the threat is real or imagined”
We have lots of fears, phobias to both simple problems and more complex ones. Everything depends on the situations and the circumstances we are going through. When we feel fear, we require professional help to manage it, and sometimes, it helps us, if not, it may be quite expensive and time consuming.
There are experiences in our childhood that have left their wounds. We believe everything will change with the passing of time but, they are even more vivid in our mind or subconscious, and they do not let us move forward and have the successful life our Creator has planned for us.
There are moments we should be enjoying but we feel fright. Fear spoils everything and we are not able to do the things we wished to. That is the reason why, many of us miss great opportunities in life, due to this suffocating anaconda that is fear.
Concern is fear’s sister. When both of them agree and visit you, the result will be the same as sand in an engine, it will ruin you.
Only God gives us the victory over concern with His power, His love and self control.
If you have received Jesus in your heart you really believe that He may be your Lord and Saviour, he will be (with respect) your personal bodyguard, you just have to say: “Lord Jesus, protect me”.
It is that simple. If you have to travel, you are going through a bad time, you have to confront a bunch of armed men who want to rob you, go to bed at night, do not be afraid, give yourself up to Him and His hands.
Let’s imagine you have most powerful insecticide and suddenly there is a defiant fly on the table.
You perfectly know that by spraying it, the insect dies, however, fear paralyses you.
Can you imagine it laughing at you and saying what a coward you are?
Jesus tells us: “The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly” John 10: 10
People do not act according to their will, character, understanding or academic studies. Everything depends on their inside, what inspires them, what motivates them. If you allows God to get into you, He will be your strength and you will be free of fear, you will have eternal life, you will get interested on people and your life will have sense.Otherwise, Satan will be glad and grateful and will make of you a weak person, slave of fear with a frustated life.
"Jesus tells us: “For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control” 2 Timothy 1:7
“The person who kneels before God, may stand in front of any human being, no matter how threatful may be. It is up to you”
